Unit Covered: 5 Ionic BondingCritical Standards: HS-PS1-1, HS-PS1-2, HS-PS1-3, HS-PS1-4
HS-PS1-2. Construct and revise an explanation for the outcome of a simple chemical reaction based on the outermost electron states of atoms, trends in the periodic table, and knowledge of the patterns of chemical properties.

Directions: Watch the included Khan Academy video called “Worked Example: Finding the Formula of an Ionic Compound”. Complete the table to the best of your ability. You will match the cation (+) from the left with the anion (-) from the top to form an ionic compound. Be sure to read everything in the document.
