National Core Arts Anchor Standard 7: Perceive and analyze artistic work
Assignment: Using youtube, watch videos of Coastal Sound Youth Choir, “Hurt Feelings” and Flushing High School Choir “12 Days of Christmas.” Both of these performances are intended to be humorous (funny). Answer these questions on notebook paper:
1. In your opinion, is each one humorous? Why or why not?
2. Who attempted to create humor for the audience through this music? Was it the composer, director, and/or choristers
3. If your choir had to perform one of these songs, which one would it be?
