Today’s Assignment

In this lesson, students will be learning about the important chemical concept of precipitation reactions and associated calculations. This is in alignment with the 2019 AP Chemistry Course and Exam Description for Topic 4.7 “Types of Chemical Reactions”.
Students are to use the textbook pages for the section “4.7 Stoichiometry of Precipitation Reactions” and complete this assignment on lined paper. After reading the opening paragraph, students are to write a 2 – 3 sentence summary. Students are then to write out Interactive Examples 4.10 and 4.11. For each one, write out the original problem. After that, write out all steps taken to solve the problem (everything not in italics). Also, copy down the box on page 139 labeled “Problem-Solving Strategy”. Lastly, complete exercises 61 and 63. Be sure to show all work.

This assignment may take upwards of 80 minutes, which takes into consideration class time (60 minutes) and homework time (20 minutes).
