Today’s Assignment
Students will learn about and practice naming ionic compounds.
The Next Generation Science Standard covered is HS-PS1-1: “Use the periodic table as a model to predict the relative properties of elements based on the patterns of electrons in the outermost energy level of atoms.”
The lesson should take up to an hour, but actual time needed will be based on the student’s reading ability.
Students are to complete this activity on paper only (no Google Classroom submission). The packet may be printed and completed or students may write their answers on lined paper. The printed packet will definitely be provided upon return to school, so having the answers ready to fill in would be ideal.
