Spatial thinking is one of the most important skills that students can develop as they learn geography. It also deepens and gives a more complete understanding of history and is linked to success in math and science. Political maps display national boundaries that reflect political or official governmental relationships between countries. This lesson will help students learn the political and national relationships between European countries and use maps to develop mental images to help them interpret information.
