Today’s Assignment
In honor of Black History Month, I would like for you to learn a little about the Harlem Renaissance for this assignment. In a few paragraphs, explain what the Harlem Renaissance was and why it was significant. Then, choose an artist from that period (e.g. Jacob Lawrence or Aaron Douglas) and a painting you liked by them and explain why they painted it and why you liked it!
