Today’s Assignment
Read, annotate, and respond to Joshua Wilkey’s “What/Where/Who is Appalachia?” In your response, you should write one paragraph of ten to fifteen sentences that explain your reaction to Wilkey’s essay. REMEMBER to be specific when sharing your reaction and to provide evidence to validate your reaction. Be prepared for a class discussion regarding the article. Questions to think about: Do you agree with him? Did he leave anything out that should have been included? Were any or all of his thoughts wrong or confused?
