Today’s Assignment
Content–Visual Art elements space, shape, form and principles pattern, repetition, gradation, balanceDay #3 assignment: Use plain, unlined white paper if possible. First, draw a medium-sized, two-dimensional shape on the paper (such as square, circle, note, even an outlined letter). It may be centered or slightly off-center on the page, but take up 1/4 to 1/2 of the page. Next, add lines and/or shading to give the shape a 3rd dimension (square becomes a cube, or circle becomes a sphere, and so on). In the background, create a tight pattern repeating a small motif (think wallpaper).
