Today’s Assignment
In this lesson, students will learn what life was like for Jews in Germany prior to the boycotts and the Nuremberg Laws as part of an introduction to the Holocaust unit. Students are to answer questions which have no right or wrong answer to 10 questions. This should take about 10 minutes. The survey is uploaded. Students may write their answers on a sheet of paper. After students complete the survey, they are to read the article “Choices in a Modern War: Pre-war Jewish Life” at www.facinghistory.org/resource-library/choices-modern-world about the autobiography of Pauline Wengeroff. They will then answer the 6 questions at the end on the same sheet of paper as the survey. This activity should take approximately 35 minutes. Students may bring their answers to school. If students do not have internet access, then a paper copy will be available at school.
