Today’s Assignment
For NTI Day 9, you will write two body paragraphs for the informative essay you have begun. Since this is a first draft, you should be able to complete the assignment in app. 45 minutes. On Thursday, you shared your narrative introduction with me. If you were absent, refer to the agenda on Google Classroom and write your narrative introduction along with this assignment. Using the organizer you received in class and attached here, choose two text structures from the five to write your first two body paragraphs (i.e. description and cause/effect or compare/contrast and sequence- whichever structures fit your purpose best in that paragraph). If you are unclear of these instructions, the Flocabulary video we watched in class and available to you to watch again on Google Classroom on the Eiffel Tower is a great model for you to use. Once you have written your two body paragraphs, share them with me just as you did with your narrative introduction on Google Docs. Use the email teresa.gambrel@knox.kyschools.us NOT teresa.gambrel@stu.knox.kyschools.us. I will be sending you feedback on your work. If you need help or have questions, please contact me with your school email, and I will be available to answer your concerns from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. In case you cannot find them, they are sequence, comparison/contrast, description, cause/effect, and problem/solution.
